Last night was the weirdest night of my career so far. Everything about it was weird. The patients, situations, ebb and flow, end results, stories, lab results… everything about the night was just a tad off. At first I thought it was just me, but by 3am we had a consensus that this was indeed a strange night, and it just got progressively weirder.
Maybe it was the 8/8/08 thing, that’s my theory.
Whatever the case, it was a weird night.
I still absolutely love my job.
And I have the next three nights off.
And I love my life.
And Beth rocks, for coming over with me after work, sitting on the back patio and talking about the weirdness of the night, and cleaning out a bottle of wine, all before 9am, and for the brilliant idea on how to set up the living room.
And Mary rocks, for sitting and listening to two lunatics, AKA ER nurses, drink wine and rant and laugh and make no sense, all before 9am.
And now I’m going to sleep.

It’s set up pretty much the same. Beth suggested we get a tall slim table and put it behind the couch so it’s not covering the intake vent. We took the idea but instead of a table we built a shelf into the wall right about the level of couch and leaving the area under the shelf open so air can get through the vent. It works and looks great, and we place candles and photos over the shelf. Excellent idea, and we didn’t have to get rid of anything!!

Hey Barb! It’s been a while. Things are cool, life is good and really busy, but I’m enjoying it all, trying to keep it all as simple and uncomplicated as possible. Hope you’re well and enjoying life!
