It’s been a while since I talked about the gardens. Both are doing pretty well and holding their own despite the heat that’s been driving us all crazy. Today it rained some, so we walked to the garden afterwards to check on the plants. We’ve been stopping by every other day or so to harvest and do general maintenance stuff, and we’ve been coming back each time with some beans, tomatoes, and zucchini. The cherry tomato plants are growing like crazy and we have to find a way soon to prop them up so that they stop falling out of the plots. The bean plants are producing really well too. We’ve been eating from the garden and haven’t had to go shopping for veggies for some time now. We’ve also been harvesting herbs and tomatoes from the back garden too.
Today’s harvest was beans, cherry tomatoes, and two zebra tomatoes that need some time to ripen.
Looks like we’re having salad for dinner!

I’m still waiting on that salad…..maybe we’ll make some more Zuckfritters with some of those outrageous zucchinis we have sitting on the counter. Yum-mii…
That reminds me, when can Ralphie come out to play?
