Today I found out that one of my instructors, who also happens to be someone I consider a friend, passed her certification exams to become a Family Nurse Practitioner, with her specialty being the Emergency Department. So this is to say a heartfelt and warm congratulations to Sandy. You are going to be an awesome Nurse Practitioner! You embody all the good and honorable things about intelligent practice, thoughtful care, and ardent patient advocacy that I admire, and I respect your knowledge, resilience, attitude, and skill. I wish you the very best as you embark on this new part of your journey through this great profession.
