Mary's Pad

We are now well into 2008, and once again, a Happy New Year to everyone.

It’s been a nice day, spent with friends and family, relaxing and connecting. I am thankful to see 2008, I am thankful that I am alive. No matter what 2008 brings, I am glad to be here to experience it.

I know it’s cliche, but I did make resolutions, and I fully intend to try to keep most, if not all of them. For now, it’s back to reality, to regular life and schedules. I have to prepare for the NCLEX exam and I have a review class that starts tomorrow – yippee!! (NOT!)

On a more somber note, if you pray, please pray for my country Kenya, and if you don’t pray,then send positive thoughts, for peace and calm to return. There has been violence since the elections were held last week, and I am praying and hoping along with everyone else that reason will prevail, and that peace will return to Kenya, my motherland, my home.
