So the latest craze in the phone world is the iPhone from Apple! Yes another i-Product. Anyone who knows me knows I’m not exactly an Apple fan, but I’m not an Apple-hater either. I don’t own any Apple products, even though there is a Mac and an ipod in our house, but they’re not mine. So when the iphone was announced, I took my usual geeky interest in it, read up a bit about it, but that was about all. As cool as it sounds, I just can’t help the feeling that it’s just another gadget… yes it may be sleek and all, but it’s just another gadget, probably one that I don’t need.
Have you ever thought about how gadgets show up, we embrace them and suddenly can’t live without them, even though we did so for a long time? It’s amazing, the psychology of gadgets.
Anyway, my point is that if I don’t need the functionality, I’m not going to spend the money… ofcourse my philosophy is greatly helped by the fact that I have no money… but that’s besides the point.
And speaking of functionality, check this page out. It’s an objective (ahem) look at the iphone… really… ahhhh, maybe not… just read it!!
