Mary’s Pad

It’s now 11:15pm, and I have just ended a wonderful evening. Mary somehow managed to surprise me with a birthday party. A bunch of people came over, we ate, we drank, we laughed, we played the Wii, it was so much fun! Just what I needed to cheer me up.

The interesting thing is that even though all the signs were there (lots of food, drink, big bowl of chips, etc), I was still caught completely by surprise. Goes to show how truly and utterly oblivious I am. It was great. Just what I needed to remind me not to take myself so seriously tonight. Tomorrow, I can take myself seriously, and I will, but this evening I loosened up and became a child again, and played and laughed with my fellow children, because at the end of the day, you are always younger than somebody else, and somebody will always be older than you.
