Mary's Pad

On Saturday we took the bike out and put at least 60 miles on it. We rode out to Atco NJ to visit friends, then back to the City and then to other errands. We went up to 70mph easy, and the ride was pretty smooth. My butt was a little sore but I’m starting to get used to it.

We’ve used the bike more than in the car for the last couple of days, and the weather’s been perfect for it. It’s just so much easier to hop on and run errands, and unless we’re anticipating that we’re going to have bulky luggage, it’s really the ideal vehicle for putzing around.

Anyway, today I glanced at the odometer and we’ve put over 100 miles on the Burgman since we bought it. That feels good. I don’t know about you but my biggest fear is that I’ll spend a bunch of cash on something that I’ll never use. Well, I obviously don’t have to worry about that in this case.
